I do like the nice way you captured the detail and texture both of the bird and of the stub.
The composition is a bit centered, and that is the only negative bit. It is hard to compose a photo with these guys constantly moving about.
The exposure of this shot is quite nice nothing is over or under exposed making every detail stand out.
The background slightly out of focus helps make the bird stand out and increases the interest in the bird in a very nice way.
